Castellón complete deal for PEC Zwolle centre-back Daijiro Chirino
The 21-year-old Curacaoan signs for an undisclosed fee.
After the announcement of Mamadou Traoré earlier today, the club has just announced the signing of Curacaoan entre back Daijiro Chirino on a permanent deal from PEC Zwolle, Dick Schreuder’s former club. Castellón will pay an undisclosed fee and the deal will include a sell-on clause.
An important contributor to Schreuder’s team last year, Chirino made 31 appearances in defence, and will play at centre-back for the Albinegres. He contributed one goal and three assists in his time at Zwolle.
Chirino’s familiarity with Castellon’s system will prove invaluable, and he should be able to hit the ground running. He is the second summer signing from PEC Zwolle after Haris Medunjanin, and the third from Holland, with Jozhua Vertrouwd also arriving from Utrecht.
You can see his first senior goal below:
Welcome to Castellón, Daijiro!
